Ortiz, Guillermo. Assistant Professor, Business. Professor Ortiz earned a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia. He moved to the United States to pursue graduate students at Stanford University, where he received M.S. degrees in Materials Sciences and Mechanical Engineering. After working for several years in Silicon Valley high-tech firms, he became interested in marketing and business management. he earned an MBA degree from Santa Clara University, and has worked in marketing and sales since then. His main interest continues to be marketing and small business management. When not teaching, working in business related topics, or keeping busy with family activities, he spends nights at the eyepiece of an amateur astronomy telescope.

I have worked as an adjunct faculty at CSM and Skyline since 1992 and was hired as a full-time faculty member at Skyline in the Fall of 1997 and proud to say I am an alumna of Skyline College. Becoming a member of the Business Division team has been enjoyable. The challenge of teaching and working with computers makes the job stimulating and I have a lifelong commitment to learning. Playing computer games with my son, and traveling are my favorite things to do.

Kevin attended San Francisco State University to work on his Bachelor's Degree and Teaching Credential in Vocational Education. In 1989, he was hired to develop and coordinate the Toyota Technical Education Network (T-TEN) program at Skyline. Currently, he is the Automotive Electronics Instructor.

Whitten, Linda. Professor of Accounting. (B.A., California State University, Chico; M.B.A., San Francisco State University). Dr. Whitten retired from San Francisco State University after teaching accounting for over 20 years. Her business experience includes positions as Controller and CFO. She is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the national honor society for business, and served on the Beta Gamma Sigma Board of Governors. She is also an elected Fellow of the American Society for Business and Behavioral Sciences.
