  • Click on News at left of home page
  • In the box for: "Step One: Select a news category", select: General News
  • In the box for: "Step Two: Select a news source", select: Major Papers
  • In the first entry box under: "Step Three: Enter search terms", enter word(s) for your desired topic, e.g. immigration AND civil liberties

Books:

The PLS Online Catalog is the online catalog to find books in Skyline Library and in all libraries in the Peninsula Library Sytem. After clicking on the link above to access the catalog, follow the steps below:

To search for books in all libraries in the PLS system:

·         Type search words (keep your search words broad) in the first search box & click Submit.

·         The search results will show books and other materials in all libraries in the PLS system.

To Limit your search results to materials at Skyline College Library:

·         Click on Modify Search near the top of the screen.

·         You will be brought back to the search screen and your search term(s) will reappear.

·         Scroll down to the Location selection box (2nd box under Limit to: below the search boxes),

·         select Skyline College in the Location box,

·         then click the Submit button.

To search for books only in Skyline College Library:

  • Type search words (keep your search words broad) in the first search box.
  • Scroll down to the Location selection box (2nd box under Limit to: below the search boxes),
  • select Skyline College in the Location box,
  • then click the Submit button.
