Where and when to register
You are ready to register for classes after you have submitted an application, taken English and math placement tests, completed an orientation, and met with a counselor to select courses.

You will pick up a permit to register from the Office Admissions and Records which lists your registration appointment date.

You may register on or after your registration appointment, but not before.

Registration takes place by using WebSMART.

Read about fees.

Late Registration
If you were unable to register prior to the start of classes you may go through the Late Registration process. You will need to meet any prerequisites prior to adding.

Late Registration begins on the first day of classes and generally lasts one week.

During late registration if you wish to add a class you must go to the class meeting and/or see the instructor. Only the instructor can give you permission to add a class after the semester has begun.

If the instructor allows you to add the class you will receive a course sticker. Access online WebSMART and enter the sticker number or take the sticker to the Office of Admissions and Records immediately to add the class. This must be done by the date specified in the Schedule of Classes (see Calendar).

Closed Classes
When all class spaces have been reserved during registration a class is closed. If a class you want is closed, you may select an alternate class or try to add the class through the late registration process.

Dropping Classes
It is your responsibility to officially drop courses that you no longer wish to take.

If you enrolled in a course you must drop it yourself! Do not depend on your professor to do it.

You can drop a course through WebSMART, or go in person to the Admissions & Records Office. You do not need a professor’s signature to drop a course.

Be sure to check the calendar in the Skyline Class Schedule for a list of important dates and deadlines for dropping courses so that your transcript and academic standing will not be negatively impacted.

It’s a good idea to speak with a counselor to discuss your plans for dropping courses.
